Getting a head start on spring cleaning

Here’s a question: why is spring cleaning in the spring?

I mean, sure, “spring” is right there in the name. Plus, spring is a great time to get some things done outside and clean up after the winter.

However. . .

Don’t you want to be outside in the spring? Why do your indoor spring cleaning when you would rather be enjoying the nicer weather?

Late winter is the perfect time to get a head start on spring cleaning since you’re probably cooped up inside anyway.

Here are a few things you can do in February and March!

Declutter

Don’t tackle outdoor projects like the garage just yet. Instead, focus on areas like your clothing and your junk drawer.

If there’s an indoor space that’s starting to look cluttered, take care of it now!

This is also a great time to declutter the kitchen if your cabinets are getting full. Do you really need all those mugs? Is anything in your pantry expired?

While you’re at it. . .

Deep clean the kitchen!

When is the last time you emptied your cabinets and wiped them down? What about your freezer?

It’s a lot of work, but there’s nothing more satisfying than a spotless kitchen.

You can also clean your cutting boards, your oven, and your backsplash while you’re at it. Make it sparkle!
