Features you’re probably wondering about in old homes

Do you have odd little doors in the walls of your old house? Maybe you’re lucky enough to have a laundry chute! Old homes are fun because of their character – does your home have any of these features?

If you found a little door in the wall of your home, it could be an ice door, a previous coal burning space, a dumbwaiter, a root cellar or a milk door! So many little doors!

Some older homes also have a designated spot for a landline – which is definitely not something you need today! It’s still a cool feature, however, and could be a fun spot for a plant or a picture frame!

You might also have a razor slit in the bathroom – where old razors just disappear into the wall! Weird!

Enjoy your old house and all its quirks.
